Stewed apples by themselves are often overlooked. You don’t need anything with them because they are sweet enough. Inflammation-reducing cinnamon is a beautiful pairing for apple.

Apples improve the metabolic balance and slow down the rate at which sugar is absorbed into the bloodstream.

They strengthen bones, lower cholesterol and tackle diarrhea and constipation (depending what the body needs!). Apples are indeed wonderful for activating beneficial gut bacteria and for removing toxins.

You can coconut yogurt or almond butter for extra nutrition and yumminess!


  • 4 apples (any kind)
  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp water


  1. Peel and core the apples. Cut them in quarters. Place them in a saucepan with a cinnamon stick or cinnamon powder.

  2. Add the water and cook on medium heat, with the lid on, for around 10 minutes.
