Anti-cancer Diet

Cabbage contains a variety of compounds that have anti-cancer activity. It can effectively deactivate carcinogens and it is rich in antioxidants, such as Anthocyanins which prevent the damage of DNA.

It also inhibits the formation of new blood vessels to cancerous cells, thus reducing the chance of it spreading and thriving.

Cabbage is also a nutrient-dense vegetable that can boost your immune system, skin health, liver health and improve your digestion! It also contains an ample amount of the vitamin U. This means that it is good for gut ulcers!

This is a wonderful salad with a great tangy, creamy dressing that will really help you chew. Chewing well will help your stomach metabolise your food and aid in smooth digestion and nutrient absorption.

  • 450g or 1lb white cabbage
  • 10g basil to garnish
  • Dressing:
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 scrunch black pepper

  1. Finely shred the cabbage and place it in a salad bowl.

  2. Making the dressing in a small bowl whisking all the ingredients.

  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and toss. You can prepare this in advance (up to 4 hours), so the dressing softens the cabbage, or consume it immediately.
