Steak Marinade

In moderation, quality pasture-fed meat is good for you.

It’s a complete source of protein, which means it is composed of all the essential amino acids that must be acquired by diet. Our bodies cannot synthesize these essential amino acids by themselves, so eating them is vital for the body’s growth, maintenance, and repair.

Good quality steaks are an essential source of nutrients with high biological value when eaten along with all other nutrient-rich foods on Eat Burn Sleep as part of a balanced diet. Micronutrients are absorbed when there is a combination of the right foods, as it involves all-important synthesis.

For instance, the fats in this meal will help you absorb vitamin A, which is found in many antioxidant-rich vegetables, to complete your meal!

At the least, this haem iron-rich meal will produce more red blood cells to carry oxygen around your body and look after your bones, skin, and nails.

The other nutrients from these steaks are excellent for your immune system, central nervous system, wound healing, muscles, respiratory health, DNA and RNA synthesis, and hormone balancing.

Moderation is key, remember. Eat Burn Sleep is not about perfection. It is about limitation.

Marinaded in anti-inflammatory olive oil and black pepper and seasoned with salt and garlic powder, these steaks are mouthwatering. Try it with Roasted Sunchokes With Salsa Verde, and Lamb’s Lettuce with Radish & Avocado.

  • 2 steaks of your choice
  • Marinade
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

  1. Marinade:
Place all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix. Place the steaks in a dish or food bag and coat them with the marinade.
Leave to marinate from 30 minutes to overnight, and take out of the fridge 20 to 30 minutes before cooking. Having the meat reach room temperature will ensure your steak is tender.

  2. Cooking:
Brush or spray your pan with olive oil. Place on high heat until the pan is hot. Place the steak and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or each side or to your liking.
Once cooked, let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes, slice with a steak knife and serve.

  3. Enjoy!
