Supporting Gallbladder Health with the Eat Burn Sleep Lifestyle

The gallbladder is a pear-shaped organ located in the liver. The liver produces bile, and the bile that is stored in the gallbladder is essential for the emulsification and digestion of fat. The bile is stored and concentrated in the liver before it is released into the small intestine.

There are various conditions that can affect the gallbladder and can range from mild discomfort to life-threatening conditions.

The most common types of gallbladder disease include gallstones (cholelithiasis), cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder), and, less commonly, gallbladder cancer.

A gallbladder attack from several years ago should not be ignored. Many gallstones are “silent,” meaning they cause no noticeable symptoms. However, a previous attack can indicate a higher likelihood of experiencing another one in the future.

Gallbladder Health and Inflammation

Your gallbladder plays a crucial role in digestion by storing and releasing bile, which helps break down fats. When inflammation occurs, called cholecystitis, it can interfere with digestion, cause pain, and increase the risk of gallstones. This inflammation is often linked to poor dietary habits, stress, and an imbalanced gut microbiome.

An anti-inflammatory lifestyle can significantly improve gallbladder health. A diet rich in fiber, healthy fats (like olive oil), and anti-inflammatory foods helps regulate bile production and reduce the risk of gallbladder attacks. At the same time, avoiding processed foods, refined sugars, and trans fats can prevent bile from becoming thick and stagnant.

Since gut health is tightly connected to bile flow, restoring balance to your gut microbiota supports gallbladder function. Dysbiosis, an imbalance in gut bacteria, can lead to sluggish bile movement and inflammation, making you more prone to discomfort and gallstones.

Common signs of gallbladder inflammation include:

  • Upper right abdominal pain (especially after fatty meals)
  • Bloating
  • Nausea
  • Referred pain in the right shoulder

The Eat Burn Sleep approach promotes gallbladder health by reducing systemic inflammation, improving bile production, and enhancing digestion. Supporting your gallbladder means supporting your overall digestive health, hormone regulation, and long-term wellness.

Risk Factors for Gallbladder Disease
  • Age: Gallbladder disease, especially gallstones, is more common in people over 40 years old.
  • Diet: partially a typical Western diet with high energy, high fat, refined carbohydrates, and low fiber intake.
  • Ethnicity: Certain ethnic groups have a higher risk of gallbladder disease. For example, Native Americans and Mexican Americans have a higher prevalence of gallstones.
  • Gender: Women are more likely to develop gallstones than men, especially during childbearing years, due to higher levels of estrogen and progesterone.
  • Obesity: Excess body weight increases cholesterol levels, which can lead to the formation of gallstones.
  • Rapid Weight Loss: Crash dieting or weight-loss surgery can increase the risk of gallstones because the liver secretes extra cholesterol during rapid fat breakdown.
  • Family History: A family history of gallbladder disease increases the risk, suggesting a genetic predisposition.
  • Medications: Certain medications, such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or birth control pills containing estrogen, may increase the risk of gallstones. Some cholesterol-lowering drugs can also elevate the risk of gallstone formation.
  • Hormonal balance: Such as pregnancy and diabetes.
  • Liver Disease: Chronic liver diseases, like cirrhosis, increase the risk of developing gallstones by affecting bile production.
  • Smoking: Smoking is associated with an increased risk of gallbladder cancer and other gallbladder-related conditions.

These factors, either individually or combined, can contribute to the development of gallbladder disease. Managing these risk factors, especially through lifestyle changes, can help reduce the risk.

Avoided Surgery and Thriving One Year Later!

I avoided gallbladder surgery thanks to the EBS lifestyle!

I have Type 1 diabetes, and about a year ago, I was struggling with issues initially diagnosed as IBS. Doctors also discovered a gallbladder polyp and recommended surgery.

I decided to follow Yalda’s plan instead, and it made all the difference. With her guidance and advice, I was able to avoid surgery—and now, a year later, my condition has improved significantly.

I highly recommend her and the EBS platform to anyone looking for a truly effective, natural approach to health!

The Anti-Inflammatory Lifestyle – A Game Changer!

The anti-inflammatory lifestyle is the best thing that could have ever been introduced to me and has helped me get back on my feet again health-wise.

I have a hiatus hernia, a gallbladder that needs removing as it’s full of stones, and gastrointestinal issues. My surgery has been delayed multiple times due to Covid, and now I’m dealing with weight issues. I love the NHS and respect it fully, but they didn’t take my conditions seriously and couldn’t diagnose me. I had spent a fortune to finally realize what my medical problems were.

I’m thankful that I can live again without pain, without burning my oesophagus, and vomiting after every meal due to acid reflux and the hiatus hernia. I’ve still not received surgery, but my conditions are a lot less.

I’m less puffy and bloated, and I can keep food down. Now, gradually, my weight is coming down as well.

So, I thank you for what you share with the public and for making life worth living again. Because I went to some very dark places before, and I’m happy now.
