Eat Burn Sleep is an online educational health platform focussed on teaching people how to achieve optimal health by living an anti-inflammatory lifestyle in an easy, enjoyable, and sustainable way. The platform was founded in 2018 by Yalda Alaoui after her battle with two autoimmune conditions led her to educate herself, change her diet and lifestyle, and subsequently put her conditions into remission. Since its foundation, hundreds of people, including doctors (MDs) have been following the Eat Burn Sleep lifestyle and have achieved incredible results by lowering their inflammation levels.
The name “Eat Burn Sleep” reflects the nature of an anti-inflammatory lifestyle, which is threefold and consists of anti-inflammatory nutrition, movement, and mental wellness (relaxation) which are equally important to achieve optimal results. The platform covers all three of these elements.

I have always been interested in health. However, it is my own health journey and the diagnosis in 2007 of two auto-immune diseases – Ulcerative Colitis and Auto-Immune Haemolytic Anaemia- that made me begin to extensively research nutrition and health. A ten-year period of research and recovery lead me to share my knowledge and making a full career change.
Over nearly a decade I saw numerous specialists for my two autoimmune conditions, as well as nutritionists, naturopaths, and holistic doctors in the US, Europe, and Asia. I spent a lot of time, money, and energy trying to find a solution to begin to feel healthy again.
During my research, I began to understand that the key factor in many non-communicable diseases is inflammation and, as a consequence, also gut health. This motivated me to develop a diet and lifestyle to combat this.
After many years of trial and error, I have finally managed to keep myself in remission and live a normal life again. Not only that, but I am also healthier than ever. Many medical professionals now consider me to be an authority in this area and often contact me to help solve new and increasing numbers of medical issues arising which are challenging the medical establishment.
As a result of this success and my passion for health, I decided to share my knowledge and help more people. In 2018 Eat Burn Sleep was born.
I am a former capital market professional and hold one Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and one MSc in Finance from EDHEC Business School. I have completed my first year of biomedicine and of nutrition studies at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London and I am continuing to further my studies in order to become a Naturopathic Nutritionist. I have been involved with Ark Education for 11 years in various roles. I am a Governor and finance link at the Ark Bentworth Academy in Hammersmith as part of my charity work. I am the mother of 2 boys, aged 10 and 12.
