Managing Crohn's, Colitis & Diverticulitis The Eat Burn Sleep Way

Two females and a male, clutching their stomachs with inflammatory bowel diseases - Crohn's, colitis, diverticulitis...

Managing Crohn’s, Colitis & Diverticulitis

If you suffer from Crohn’s, Colitis, Celiac Disease or Diverticulitis, you’ve stumbled upon the right video to watch.

My name is Yalda Alaoui, I’m an inflammation Pioneer, Nutritional Therapist and I suffer from ulcerative colitis, which is an inflammatory bowel disease.

I was diagnosed with colitis back in 2007 and I did over 10 years of research to fix my issues. Doctors put me on corticosteroids, mesalamine, immunosuppressants, and biological drugs.

I was given Infliximab – it didn’t work on me. No drug worked on me, and not only did I suffer from colitis, but I developed over time, in 2012, a second autoimmune disease called autoimmune hemolytic anemia.

The reason for this is when you have inflammation going in your body, it can trigger so many inflammatory diseases. That’s why people with autoimmune issues like I do sometimes have what I call a collection of diseases. They might have Crohn’s and psoriasis and lupus or whatever – there are so many terrible diseases out there linked to chronic inflammation.

My method has helped me become medication-free and has helped thousands of people around the world. If you are suffering from an inflammatory bowel disease lowering your chronic inflammation might help induce remission.

Medication Resistance to Colitis and Other Inflammatory Bowel Diseases

Also, the problem is when we have inflammation, we develop medication resistance and that has happened to me.

The first course of corticosteroids I took, I started at 40 milligrams a day and then they tapered down. It worked a charm, only the first one. As time went I had more and more side effects of the drugs, without the upside.

This is what happens for most patients with chronic conditions. So you will really want to lower your chronic inflammation so the medication you’re taking helps you to get back into a state of remission, and then with your doctor, you can then taper down the medication. This is what I’ve done. I’ve always worked together with my doctors, and I advise that you subscribe to the premium membership where I have a whole section dedicated to inflammatory bowel disease.

Celiac Disease and Inflammation

With celiac, it’s not just gluten you should be avoiding, it’s all inflammatory foods. I urge you to go and read the section on inflammatory bowel disease and on ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s, and diverticulitis. Go and check it out.

Also, make sure to go and read all the amazing testimonials we have received. There’s even a Doctor, Dr Peter Obeyka, a physician in New Jersey, who suffers from an inflammatory bowel condition and has used the Eat Burn Sleep platform to induce remission and live a life without medication and feeling great and full of energy.

You can check out all the videos in the video section to educate yourself on inflammation. Watch my masterclass series on the platform and start implementing these changes which are very easy to implement because my method is not a diet, it is a lifestyle.

Exercises for Inflammatory Bowel Disease

There’s a dietary element and there is a movement element. Some workouts can make you feel sicker and I’m sure if you suffer from IBD you have noticed that. I certainly have when I was ill and that’s how I started researching exercises and understanding that some workouts were extremely inflammatory.

Not only that but I’ve developed my own workouts which help to really strengthen your core and your spine. The vagus nerve links the spine to the gastrointestinal tract, so a strong spine and a strong core mean a better digestive system.

Then 70% of your immune system cells, gut-associated lymphoid tissue, reside in your gut, which means that a stronger spine means stronger immunity. Also, 60% of our neurotransmitters – serotonin, melatonin, GABA, dopamine, are produced in the gut. There is a very strong brain-gut connection, and it goes both ways.

Food, Movement, and Mental Wellbeing

So my method focuses on foods, focuses on movement because that links to your gut and it focuses on mental wellness because of the brain-gut access. If you feel better in your head, your gut will be healthier and your immune system will function better, your chronic inflammation lowers.

I hope this was helpful, go and explore the website, sign up, and read all the incredible testimonials to give you hope and make sure that you do not come off your medication without your doctor’s approval. My method is very much about first, do no harm, and going slowly step by step to a better state of health.

Thank you so much for watching.

Five-year-old in Crohn’s Remission

Farnaz met Yalda briefly through mutual friends long ago and had been following Eat Burn Sleep for healthy recipes and health education for a while.

When her five-year-old son was diagnosed with IBD (Crohn’s), Farnaz decided to reach out to Yalda for help and signed up for the personalized coaching program.

Her son had suffered severe diarrhea for almost a year, and Farnaz tried him on everything, including lots of different doctor-approved diets for Crohn’s disease. Nothing helped ease the symptoms. Not even corticosteroids.

Farnaz was feeling desperate, stressed, helpless, and on the verge of a nervous breakdown because her son was losing weight, of course, wasn’t absorbing nutrients, and became really sick.

Following the Eat Burn Sleep Anti-inflammatory Lifestyle, they saw good results within a few weeks, and it continued.

So much so that their doctor asked about what they had been doing to improve the Inflammatory Bowel Disease that he had. His calprotectin is now 63, which is within the normal range. It was 223 just two months before joining Eat Burn Sleep.

Farnaz’s son is not taking steroids anymore and is finishing the course of biological drugs. Their doctor predicts that he will not need medication anymore very soon.

In her own words, ‘The results were nothing short of miraculous!’.

Farnaz also stated, ‘Yalda also helped me put myself back together as a mother and taught me how to be strong, courageous, and positive in supporting my son, and it worked very well. It also helped my parenting skills, and I am much more content now.’

A big thank you to my life saver!

I just wanted to share my immense gratitude for you and your platform.

I’ve been diagnosed with UC couple of years ago, and today for the first time I felt in control when doing my groceries while on vacation with my husband.

I am forever grateful for the sense of control and confidence that your platform has given me regarding food.

Since signing up, after having a miserable colitis flare-up and steroids not working,

My colitis is now fully in remission for the last two months.

I feel so fantastic and grateful to be healthy again. I’ve learned so much since joining.

Your platform is refreshing and has eliminated a lot of health anxiety I once had but now I know my body is getting what it needs.

I feel so much more confident in my choice of foods, so thank you so much for your research. I wish there was more awareness/knowledge among doctors as to what triggers this ghastly disease.

My life has completely changed. Thank you so much!

I have been following the EBS lifestyle and wanted to thank you for all your work in creating this program
– it has been life changing for me.

I have ulcerative colitis, and I have never gone this long without a flare-up.

I also traveled to America at the end of last month and for the first time in 5 months managed to travel without any bleeding.

My other half has been following along with me and he has lost almost 2 stone in under 7 weeks.

I can’t believe the improvements in my energy, sleep, and skin.

Thank you for all you do and give. Your research helps so much and you always inspire me with recipes and insights.

I have UC and I am now in full remission.

The biggest success I’ve had from EBS is food choices and recipes and understanding all that impact. I use turmeric all the time and eat shakshuka often. I focus on vegetables and fresh foods and eating the colors of the rainbow. I also walk more.

I love your approach to exercise that is not overly strenuous.

I also have a high stress job and I know how to focus on managing stress.

I can’t thank Yalda enough for the help she has given me.

At the start of my journey, I felt nauseous every day. I had episodes of fainting and vomiting and I felt really hopeless.

I had previously been diagnosed with coeliac disease and vasovagal syncope syndrome. My symptoms were unusual and I had been to so many doctors. Nothing was making me feel better and I was scared that nothing ever would.

After just a few weeks of working with Yalda, I started to feel better. Not only did my symptoms begin to improve, but I felt like I had more control over them when they occurred. Mentally, I was more relaxed, and my skin even cleared up.

Yalda was able to view the situation that I was in better than any doctor and I’m so happy with the progress I’ve made physically and mentally. My vomiting stopped completely, and my nausea is almost entirely gone.

If I do feel bad, sometimes I don’t get scared like I used to. My energy has increased, I’ve been able to control my fainting a lot better and I feel like I’m able to think more clearly.

My experience with Yalda has been amazing and I’m so grateful for her and everything that I’ve learned through this process.

I first heard of you through Ampersand Health and you resonated with me so much.

The one thing that may be of interest is that it took me 2-3 weeks before I settled into the 6 week reset. I couldn’t possibly introduce the ‘movement’ element until week 4. The first and second week I really struggled with bloating and possible constipation.

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 10 years ago at the age of 53. Its just if anyone else struggles then its worth persevering.

A huge thank you to you. I joined the platform early February.

My husband and I have never eaten so well or enjoyed our meals much. We eat almost entirely from your recipes, this evening we enjoyed the slow cooked oxtail followed by fruit crumble. Both absolutely delicious.

Many thanks for all our hard work, I can’t sing your praises enough.

Having just completed the 6-week reset, I am very happy with the results so far.

My IBD seems to be under control, and I have not needed to use an inhaler for my asthma for over 2 weeks now through the winter. I usually need to use it twice daily without fail, so this is a big improvement.

My husband has been following the plan with me, and within a couple of weeks, he found significant improvement in tendonitis of the anterior tibialis, from which he’d been suffering from for 4 months.

The recipes are great, as are the masterclasses, personalized advice, and ‘Inspirational Resources’.

All in all, I am very pleased I joined the lifestyle and can highly recommend it.

A truly excellent wealth of knowledge and expertise curated by an individual who is clearly not only dedicated to constantly expanding and improving the resources available on the platform but passionate about helping people.

Back in 2021, and three weeks into the lifestyle, the one thing that filled me with joy was not just the visible improvements to my health but just how incredibly delicious the recipes were. I’m not a natural cook but the videos gave me confidence and inspiration.

I had suffered with a terrible hiatus hernia as an 18 years old and had spent years chasing down good health and I wish that this had been available to me then but I’m so thankful to have discovered it now.

I was recently diagnosed with Coeliac disease and have really struggled to find the right foods to eat to help heal my inflammation.

After being hospitalized with the condition, I knew it was time to make a change!

I am now 2 weeks into the Eat Burn Sleep lifestyle and it is safe to say I have never felt so amazing.

Not only have I lost 6.3kg in 2 weeks, but most importantly, my entire well-being has transformed!

I am the happiest I have been in a long time.

Thank you, Yalda, you have changed my life.

Yalda is passionate and provides a lot of new content for the platform and still researches and broadens our horizons; the knowledge is up-to-date.

Low inflammation workouts are a pleasure, and I am happy to work out.

My body looks better than ever without doing hard gym sessions – I look and feel my best only working out at your home.

I am happy to write this review after the year on a lifestyle and prolonging my access to the platform for the following one.

I was diagnosed with chronic colitis at the age of 23. I searched for cures my whole life, but nothing could help me. I discovered the lifestyle 2 years ago through a friend and have been on it since then.

I have lost weight, gained confidence, and energy.

The other day I had a colonoscopy, the doctor confirmed that there were no traces of colitis in my body and that I am officially in remission! I have had colitis for 26 years, and no one could cure it.

Yalda’s lifestyle does help, it does make miracles happen!
