How to Treat Depression Successfully

You don’t need a blood test to prove you have depression, of course, but it is essential to understand the results of blood been run on people with depression and major mental disorders) to treat it at the source. (Explained in more detail under Depression and Anxiety in the videos section).

The bottom line is that there is a link between depression and chronic inflammation, a bidirectional relationship.

The other important information to note about depression is the cause. It can include complex interactions between social, biological, environmental, and psychological factors (and often the side effects of medication and other conditions).

One major cause is genetics. If there is depression in your family, and you have so many factors contributing to chronic inflammation and neuroinflammation in your body, depression is switched on.

Chronic inflammation triggers epigenetics. Chronic inflammation triggers depression, and depression triggers chronic inflammation.

Also, a healthy microbiome, notably the gut microbiota, for people suffering from depression and anxiety is essential. Studies show that dysbiosis (imbalance) and inflammation in the central nervous system are linked to the causes of mental illness.

There is a bidirectional link between the gut, the microbiome, and the brain.

Depression Diet and Lifestyle

Eat Burn Sleep’s anti-inflammatory lifestyle successfully treats depression, anxiety, and MMDs. Not only does it lower neuroinflammation systemically, through the right food and anti-inflammatory movement, good sleep promotion, and neuroplasticity exercises – but gut flora is improved.

It’s the brain-gut connection!

60% of neurotransmitters are located in the gastrointestinal tract of adults. They are serotonin – the happy hormone; melatonin – the sleep hormone; GABA – the reward hormone; and dopamine (pleasure and motivation).

If the digestive system is compromised and we are not eating the right food, we are not producing these neurotransmitters. As a result, we are not feeling good in our minds. This is the link between the gut and the brain, and it goes both ways! Think about how your stomach feels before an exam, interview, or when you are in love!

This is why Eat Burn Sleep is proven to be good for mental well-being!

We have a personalized advice section so that you can tailor your optimum healthy lifestyle, and the comprehensive advice for depression and anxiety gives you the tools to help you.

We can’t change our DNA with our lifestyle, but we can activate or deactivate those genes. It can be more inflammatory or less inflammatory.

If it is more inflammatory, whatever weak genes we have inherited may get switched on. When we lower inflammation, those weaker genes have less gene expression.

You can now watch my recent presentation at the Kingston University Mental Health Day, here in London.  Sadly, depression and anxiety are common mental health issues for young people. I love having the opportunity to share how diet and nutrition can help!

Chronic inflammation is also linked to mindset, a significant focus on the Eat Burn Sleep anti-inflammatory lifestyle. A conscious effort – combined with science – is powerfully effective.

That is why Eat Burn Sleep exists. If you haven’t already, subscribe to treat your depression naturally, for life, today.

I love your platform so much. Thank you so much for everything.

I have better digestion and it has helped me listen to my body more.

Your podcast has given me the tools to create new habits and at the same time take the process calmly.

I understand the importance of stretching to improve mood and to meditate first thing in the morning to feel calm.

Manuela

I have been a member of the EBS platform for two weeks now.

Along with the movement exercises, I feel really great to be honest.

You’ve done incredible work!

Zaakirah

I am going though the menopause, nutrition advice and movement videos on the Eat Burn Sleep platform.

They have been very helpful.

My membership has prompted me to get some therapy for stress, read every label more than usual, stop buying expensive organic veg, shop more local and have blood tests.

The gratitude has also helped.

I was religious and for varying reasons have lost the faith.

Thanking the universe has helped me.

So overall a good experience.

Maria

Thank you for helping us!

Love your last masterclass on mood and mindset.

Especially the last question you got about bad mood of partners/husbands. My husband is not in his best period of life and it really affected me. Now I know what to do!

May all your dreams come true. Love from Denmark!

Anna

Thank you for all your hard work. I just want you to know how much you are appreciated.

EBS has helped me so much mentally as well as physically.

I lost my daughter to bowel cancer 9 years ago at the age of 31. We started a journey together spiritually and physically and Carly never lost hope, even when she was told there was nothing left that doctors could do to help her. She did all she could through diet and meditation and declined palliative chemotherapy. She enjoyed the last months of her life instead of being hospitalized. She was so strong and positive and now I try to be the same and continue our journey still.

Your platform has helped me so much to do that. If Carly was still her she’d be one of your members for sure!

I love your down to earth advice, tough love approach, amazing knowledge and most of all, your kindness.

We need more people in the world like you Yalda. Thank you for all that you do.

Ingrid

Me and my sister both follow your advice and program and are extremely happy with how we feel! Thank you so much for creating this lifestyle.

We both see improvement in physical and mental health as well as weight loss.

We are learning so much from you, your advice and life story. We are absolutely inspired and grateful we have found you.

I joined the platform 3 weeks ago and am doing the reset whilst breastfeeding and I’m really enjoying it.

I’ve lost 3kg, my sleep is so much better, the walks are helping my mental well being and most importantly my milk supply hasn’t been affected.

I’m 4.5 months postpartum and breastfeeding exclusively. Thank you so much.

Yasmina

Just wanted to say I am on day 8 of the six week reset.

Can’t believe how good I feel just after following for a week.

After years of food intolerances, bloating, and pain, my stomach is almost flat, my joints are feeling better and I have lots of energy and good mood. Have been following Yalda for months, I wish I had started the reset before.

Love all the info available. I wish I had all this info 10 years ago!

Sharon

I just wanted to say thank you so, so much for your app and lifestyle guidance.

Finally I’m losing weight and feel happier and healthier- bloat free, pain free, just everything is better!

Thank you.

Lauren

A month into the lifestyle and I feel great. Most of my symptoms have disappeared, and I am just feeling lighter.

I lost 5 kilos, and I am now at my ideal weight. I am feeling less tired and less anxious which I used to be all the time.

I initially purchased the premium membership because I was always bloated with abdominal pain and nausea. I always felt down and got diagnosed with SIBO. All of it is gone!

Thanks for all your recommendations on the platform.

I have been spreading the word. Two of my colleagues are considering getting the premium membership.

Mariam

I am on week 3 and really feeling much better.

I have also already lost 3kgs, but for me, the better mood and higher energy levels are the most magical outcomes so far.

After 2 full weeks, I don’t crave sugar anymore and find the reset pretty easy to observe.

Yasmine

After week 3 on the lifestyle, it’s crazy how much better I feel & this is the first thing in a long while where I am losing weight.

I just want to say thanks & I think you might need to add a lifetime member option.

Also, your movement videos are spot on & your voice is very calming.

Brooke

I’ve been going through some mental challenges lately, I have intrusive thoughts very frequently, which created lots of anxiety.

Today I decided to watch one of your mental wellness videos which gave me the first moment of hope in a long time.

I am a member of the platform but never really followed the lifestyle. I made the decision to start it tomorrow after understanding the strong links between food and mental health.

I thought I would share with you a section I had last night at 2:00 am with one of your meditation segments. I could not sleep, so I thought I would try a meditation. I did not want to hear a story, so I used the bath one. I wasn’t going to get in the bath a 2 am, so I just wrapped myself in blankets to feel the warmth, relaxation & floating sensation.

I woke up this morning with the EBS app still open on my chest.

Your voice & techniques calmed me lie & relaxed me enough to turn off my brain & finally go to sleep.
