Immune System Diet
This delicious chocolate banana ‘nice’ cream is very nice on the stomach and excellent for the immune system.
Its antacid effects will protect your stomach from ulcers – eliminating the bacteria that causes them.
The probiotics in bananas will build good bacteria and feed the microbiome.
When the gut is optimised, nutrients are absorbed so much better, immune health is optimised and inflammation is lowered.
A wonderful dessert, rich in potassium and phenolic compounds (from the maple syrup and cacao), that is good for lowering blood pressure and heart disease risks, and looking after your bones.
Also, the zinc in maple syrup is an excellent added boost for the immune system, men’s health, wound healing, respiratory health – and the list goes on!
- 2 to 3 ripe frozen bananas
- 1 tbsp nut milk
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
Take your bananas out of the freezer a couple of minutes before making the ice cream.
Put them in your blender. I use the Vitamix one and make sure to push them towards the bottom regularly with a spatula.
Add the nut milk, maple syrup, and raw cocao powder, and blend.
