While you salivate making these chocolate-dipped strawberries, bear in mind that you will be boosting your body with antioxidants, aiding digestion, and reducing any constipation you may have.
Apart from being packed with nutrients such as vitamins A and C, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, folate, and calcium, strawberries will help maintain regular bowel movements with their fiber content.
Fiber promotes stool movement in the intestinal tract, aiding the relief of constipation.
Chocolate is rich in iron, minerals, and antioxidants and is good for gut health, increasing the microbiome’s diversity and reducing inflammation, which is essential for good health. Remember, commercial chocolate is full of chemicals, which does the opposite!
- 3/4 cup or 200g of dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp of coconut oil
- 20 large strawberries
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan with simmering water. Make sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
Stir in the coconut oil and turn the heat off once the mix looks glossy.
Line a tray with baking paper. Grab each strawberry by the stem and dip each side in the chocolate mix.
Place on the tray and repeat with each strawberry.
Place in the fridge until set (about one hour).
Your chocolate strawberries are ready! Enjoy!
