This is my go-to protein shake if I need a boost in nutrients or when hungover! I use plant-based protein powder because it is easier on the digestive system than whey protein, which can sometimes cause bloating. I use nut or coconut milk for the same reason. It is easier to digest than regular milk, but if you prefer regular milk, go for it!

The nut butter includes good fats in the shake that would have virtually zero fat otherwise. I like organic almond or cashew butter.

The collagen protein powder is one of the best-kept secrets in the beauty and nutrition world! It is 100% pure protein and it is good for the lining of the gut, joints, muscle recovery, and skin health!! It is a magic potion that keeps you younger on the inside as well as the outside. It has no taste. You can find a few on Amazon, go for the grass-fed/pasture-fed option as it is less inflammatory than grain-fed beef.

The banana is filling and makes the shake very creamy while adding a healthy source of carbohydrates for your mood. The cocoa and stevia are to enhance the flavor and get some nice anti-oxidants.

  • 1 scoop of plant-based protein powder
  • 1 1/16 cups or 250ml of nut milk or coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon of nut butter
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons of collagen protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon of raw cocoa powder
  • stevia to taste
  • a few ice cubes

Directions

  1. Blend all the ingredients together.
  2. Enjoy!
