I have followed Yalda and have been a member of Eat Burn Sleep since 2019. I followed the reset and the lifestyle on and off until December of 2022 (to manage IBS), when I knew there was something wrong with my body. In January of 2023, I decided to start the lifestyle again and follow it to a T. At the same time, I found a lump in my right breast during a self-exam. This led to a triple negative breast cancer diagnosis at the end of January 2023.
As soon as I found the lump, I began to not only follow the lifestyle (week 1), but added all the cancer fighting protocols on the platform. I also decided to reach out to the team and hire Yalda as my nutrition coach.
I continued to work with my oncology team, who prescribed a very aggressive program of 16 chemotherapy sessions (2 types), surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation.
Yalda and her amazing program helped me so much!
Chemotherapy, though not fun, was not so difficult for me. Having a healthy gut and a liver that does not have to focus on anything other than supporting the body through chemotherapy made a huge difference. All my lab work came out almost normal the entire treatment, and my doctors could not believe how positive I was and how well I felt, even after 6 months of chemotherapy. I was able to continue to work and to work out as much as my body would allow without pushing myself, and this helped me stay strong and healthy.
Yalda encouraged me to maintain positivity, continue to meditate, to add movement (when possible), to eat as clean and healthy as possible (following week 1 of the platform), and to visualize remission daily. She did additional research and was there for me every step of the way.
Today, I have finished chemotherapy and have had surgery, and I am in remission. I will continue immunotherapy and radiation to ensure full and long-term recovery, and will also continue to stay on the Eat Burn Sleep Lifestyle, as I know it will enhance all the progress and healing. I look forward to switching from a very rigid (but extremely successful) week 1 to a more 80-20 lifestyle soon and to continue to increase the amount of movement to strengthen my body.
I am extremely grateful to Yalda and her amazing program and encourage anyone who is diagnosed to follow the Cancer section (or any other section in case of a different diagnosis) of the Eat Burn Sleep platform. Do not just follow the food portion, but implement Yalda’s mindfulness, movement, visualization, sleep, and an overall positive outlook.
